375 industry professionals attended the International Window Film Conference & Tint-Off’s (WFCT) Kick-Off Beach Party at Chix on the Beach in Virginia Beach, Va. Sponsored by Autobahn, the gathering featured the industry’s first-ever drone show.

Unity on Display

“We’re all artists in the same trade,” says David Karle, Eastern Regional Support Director at CoolVu in Marietta, Ga. “It pushes unity further. It was about camaraderie and making friendships that last a lifetime.”

Powered by dozens of drones, the showcase spotlighted several brands in the industry including: Autobahn, Huper Optik, Edge, Tint Wiz, Tint Buster, and Tint’er Brand.

“Everyone was welcome; they made everyone feel like they were friends and family,” says Johnny ‘Blades’ Gonzalez of Texas Heat Tint in Huffman, Texas. “Seeing the brand that supports me in the sky like that was amazing. I will never look at fireworks the same way.”

Eric Perez, Owner of Sun-Kool Window Tinting in Hickory, N.C., says all dealers and suppliers were unified, regardless of brand affiliation.

“It brought everyone in the industry together,” says Perez, who was honored with a Huper Optik Regional Dealer of the Year Award during the Huper Optik and Autobahn Dealer Conference in Denver this Spring. “Everyone had a good time.”

Luis Angel Martinez, Owner of Resilient Tint in Marietta, Ga., says, “I had never seen a drone show in person. I loved it.”

Steve Brooks, Owner of TNT Glass Tinting in Denver, N.C., adds, “The beach party was nicely done. Autobahn is about bringing everyone together–including competition–while still separating the Autobahn brand from others. It was very well executed.”
