Established in 2004, Coffee and Cars stands as a thriving Houston-based event platform that unifies more than 6,000 passionate car enthusiasts every month. Autobahn, a leading provider of automotive window film, paint protection film (PPF), and ceramic coatings, has partnered with the organization to enhance consumer awareness within these automotive segments.

Tejas Turismo

Coffee and Cars spearheads Tejas Turismo, an annual vintage driving tour designed to forge enduring connections among car enthusiasts. Celebrating the joy of owning vintage vehicles, the three-day event spans 1,000 miles and features approximately 200 participants and 100 vintage cars. Tickets for this year’s edition were completely sold out in a mere 28 minutes.

“It takes six months of planning for us to put it together,” share Founder Jorge Verdejo and Event Director Abe Levitz. “Every single year, the route changes. Not only do we change the route and test it extensively, we also set up the logistics for housing accommodations and dining arrangements. We also make custom jackets with a company from Argentina. There are a lot of layers to this.”

The duo adds, “At heart, we are vintage car lovers. They’re time machines. There’s something special about the way they drive, sound, and feel.”

No Limits

Beyond its Tejas Turismo event, Coffee and Cars orchestrates two monthly gatherings—one hosted at Post HTX in Houston, Texas, and the other at Market Street in The Woodlands, Texas. These events promote inclusivity by avoiding membership requirements or participation fees.

Philanthropic Efforts

Coffee and Cars recently organized a Toy Drive on Saturday, December 9, 2023, with the aim of brightening the holiday season for less fortunate children. Throughout its 19-year history, the platform has generated and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to various charitable organizations.

“Our organization is all about connecting people in the community,” share Founder Jorge Verdejo and Event Director Abe Levitz. “It’s a part of our ethos. It’s woven into our culture.”
