Virginia Media recognizes successful businesses throughout the state with an Annual “Best of” Contest. This year, the community voted SunBlocked Window Tinting in Portsmouth, Va., as the area’s best Auto Customization business for the 10th time.

“I started this business 17 years ago wanting to be honest with customers, knowledgeable about this industry, and pour 110% into making sure every job was done correctly,” says Micah Barnes, Owner of SunBlocked Window Tinting. “For years, not only was I doing the installs but I was also the front man for sales and customer service. I created real relationships with the customers that came through our doors.”
Industry veteran Barnes operates his company with his wife, and Installer Spencer Carl.
“Little did I know how much people appreciated an honest business that would give back to the community,” Barnes adds. “I can not describe how blessed I feel every time the community outpours support to our shop.”
SunBlocked Window Tinting is an Autobahn, Huper Optik, and Edge dealer.
“It sounds cliche to say, ‘We have the best customers,’ but I don’t know any better way to put it,” Barnes shares. “I love our customers and this community. I thank God everyday for our amazing staff and the people we meet throughout the week that make this all possible.”
