Industry veteran Heide Mcgee, Owner of Tint and Tunes in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, has joined Autobahn as a Dealer Success Manager.

Tinting since 2007, Heide doesn’t just have 18 years of experience; she has a deep-rooted passion for helping others reach new heights.

In Your Corner

“I love helping people,” Heide shares. “I will stop what I’m doing to help you. That’s just who I am. I am your cheerleader. If you succeed, then I know I’ve succeeded. It makes my day when I can share my knowledge to help somebody else, and they can use that same knowledge in their daily life to succeed.”

Autobahn CEO David Kratz shares, “One of the most significant decisions a company can make is changing the manufacturer or supplier they choose to partner with. This transition often leaves business owners to navigate/learn the new products, integrate them into their sales processes, and acclimate to installing all on their own.”

That’s where Heide comes in.

“As our new Dealer Success Manager, Heide’s role is built around supporting new dealer relationships during critical transition periods,” David adds. “Her mission is to ensure a smooth and seamless onboarding experience. Offering hands-on, in-person guidance and continued support as our partners grow. Supporting our dealers isn’t just a priority. It’s a core value.”

Heide will work closely with Director of Training Tony Kiger, traveling coast to coast, providing hands-on orientations, onboarding, and serving as a trusted resource for technical expertise, guidance, and everyday support throughout the Autobahn Dealer Network.

“I’ve been through it all,” Heide says. “As people, we just need someone in our corner who cares. Someone to reach out and say, ‘Hey, I was thinking about you today,’ or, ‘Do you need a hand for a couple of days?’ or, ‘It’s going to be okay.’ That’s what I plan on doing.”

Over her nearly two-decade career, Heide says she has received industry-wide support and encouragement. With her new role, she’s ready to return the favor.

“People were willing to give me advice and welcome me with open arms,” she says. “I’ve never had anyone look down on me in this industry. They’ve been willing to answer questions and help me out.”

Persevering Through Painful Projects

In the early days of her career, Heide persevered through projects that were more painful than perfect. She vividly remembers tinting her first two vehicles for customers: a Ford F-150 and a Ford Crown Victoria.

“You’re going to have those projects,” Heide shares. “It’s about knowing when to step back and take a breath. We’re all going to have those cars. That car could be a Nissan Altima you’ve tinted hundreds of times. There’s going to be a day when something goes wrong.”

Laughing, she offers a simple solution: “Go outside and scream. It’s going to be okay.”

Let the Success (and Shenanigans) Begin

New Autobahn dealers can expect to learn and laugh during Heide’s shop visits.

“The word shenanigans is the best way to describe me and how I deal with life,” Heide laughs.

During road trips, Heide will hardly be alone. One of her 21 birds, Bailey, an eclectus parrot, will be on her shoulder.

“Bailey is the one who will get to travel with me during road trips,” Heide says. “I got him from a rescue a little over a year ago, and he is bonded to me. He loves to go everywhere, including Walmart. He was so fun to bring to Window Film Revolution’s Family Reunion in Chattanooga. He’s my little buddy. He’s also a good icebreaker.”

In the first week of a new adventure, Heide says she’s overwhelmed by her industry peers’ support.

“What I get to do with these dealers is unimaginable,” Heide says.
