Autobahn, a leading supplier of premium automotive window tint, paint protection film (PPF), and ceramic coatings, is expanding its North American presence through strategic partnerships with new dealers in exclusive territories. Bajang Graphics now brings Autobahn’s full suite of solutions to drivers in Canada.

Owner Mahdi Bajang sat down with Chris Collier, Director of Communications at Autobahn, to discuss his business, passions, and life.

Collier: You’re a month into being an Autobahn dealer. What has the experience been like so far, compared to other suppliers you’ve been with?
Bajang: It’s my favorite company. I’ve had so many offers from different companies, but I chose Autobahn because I know they produce a good product. I’ve also heard good things about their customer service and other aspects, so that’s why I chose them.

Collier: How long have you been in the window tinting industry, and what inspired you to get into it?
Bajang: I’ve been working in this industry for about 20 years. After moving from Iran to Canada, I met someone who told me Autobahn was a good product. After using it, I fell in love with it.

Collier: What services do you currently offer?
Bajang: We currently offer automotive window tinting, PPF, and car wraps. In the near future, I plan to add more services, such as detailing, ceramic coating, commercial wraps, and residential tinting.

Collier: You work alongside your wife, Bahareh Hadad Nosrati. What’s her role in the company?
Bajang: She helps with computer tasks, pre-cutting products, getting more clients, and managing my Instagram and YouTube accounts. We’re on the same page.

Collier: What’s your favorite thing about working in this industry?
Bajang: When I finish a job and see the client is happy, I feel great, especially when they leave a review mentioning they’re happy with the service. I enjoy talking with clients about the process.

Collier: If you weren’t in this industry, what do you think you’d be doing?
Bajang: I love cooking. I want to open a restaurant next to my shop. I can cook many different types of dishes, but I’m best at Italian and Iranian food. I learn fast from cooking videos on YouTube and enjoy it.

Collier: What’s your favorite dish to cook?
Bajang: Iranian kebab. It’s very tasty, and even my international friends love it. I’ve taken them to Iranian restaurants, and they really appreciate it.

Collier: How long have you lived in Canada?
Bajang: I’ve been in Canada for about four years. I first lived in Quebec for two years, then moved to Ottawa.

Collier: What’s your biggest motivation?
Bajang: I want to grow every day. I wake up around 5:30 a.m. every morning, have coffee, exercise, answer emails, and respond to social media comments. At the shop, I focus on clients and do my best. In just one year, I’ve earned over 200 five-star reviews.

Collier: What’s your biggest dream?
Bajang: To open multiple branches across other areas. I also want to expand into different services under the Bajang name. And if I open a restaurant, I’d use the Bajang name as well.

Collier: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Bajang: My father, Ghorban Bajang, taught me to treat clients like your family. That helps you grow and become a better person.

Collier: Now for some non-business questions. What’s your favorite movie?
Bajang: Harry Potter. I’ve watched the first movie more than 20 times. Every time I watch it, I notice something new.

Collier: Favorite music?
Bajang: I listen to Iranian music 99% of the time. My favorite singers are Hayedeh and Siavash Ghomayshi.

Collier: Favorite candy?
Bajang: I enjoy dark chocolate.
