Huper Optik and Tint Wiz hosted a live roundtable focused on the ins and outs of generating sales with Tint Wiz on October 4. Cody Becker, Huper Optik’s Architectural Training Consultant and Wiz Trainer, and Erik Devash, founder of Tint Wiz, led the demonstration and discussion.

A Distinct Shift

“The window film industry has prioritized the film itself for decades, but now there’s a distinct shift towards operational excellence,” Devash shares. “As competition intensifies, the defining factor is increasingly how businesses operate behind the scenes. Huper Optik has insightfully recognized this trend and, in collaborating with Tint Wiz, is proactively positioning its dealers to not only succeed but also pioneer in this evolving landscape.”

Devash and Becker guided attendees through the capabilities of Tint Wiz, opening doors for both newcomers and seasoned users.

“Having an open discussion with industry leaders can be invaluable,” Becker adds. “For decades, there has been window film support but there hasn’t been business support. David Kratz and Huper Optik are taking the first steps to filling that void in the industry by implementing support for Tint Wiz.”

Driving Innovation

“Participating in roundtable discussions offers a tremendous opportunity to expand your knowledge, gain valuable insights, and improve operational efficiencies in your business,” says Huper Optik CEO David Kratz. “It provides a platform for industry professionals to connect, collaborate, and collectively address challenges and opportunities. By sharing ideas and experiences, these types of roundtable discussions have the potential to drive innovation, foster industry growth, and strengthen the community of professionals in our field.”

Kratz adds, “Having professionals like Cody Becker and Erik Devash lead this roundtable brings invaluable expertise, professionalism, passion, and experience to the discussion. Both individuals are true industry innovators, recognized for their contributions and achievements.”

Attendee Reactions

“I found the discussion on using Tint Wiz informative,” says Tim Johnson, owner of Ttown Tintz LLC in Toledo, Ohio. “It highlighted the potential benefits of streamlining customer interactions and managing appointments efficiently. I’m excited to leverage the insights from the discussion and enhance our existing Tint Wiz Strategies in our flat glass window tinting services.”

Lance Monday, owner/operator of Tint-Tastic in Louisville, Ky., says he valued the opportunity to ask Devash and Becker questions during the session.

“The biggest thing I learned was the difference between canned services and canned proposals,” Monday shares.

Canned proposals in Tint Wiz allow users to save proposals and quickly reuse them for other quotes.

“Create canned proposals for any situation imaginable,” an article cites. “Keep a cache of proposals for things such as good, better, best tint options, paint protection film, ceramic coating. Create options for Sedans, another for SUV’s and so on. You can also create ‘add on’ options as an upsell opportunity in a proposal such as a + Windshield or + PPF, + Ceramic Coating … absolutely anything and everything.”

Bryan Cobb, owner of Black Bear Protective Films in Indian Land, S.C., says he joined the discussion to learn more about using canned proposals, too.

“I feel like it has so much to offer for our everyday work,” he says of Tint Wiz.
