Advance Tint Sdn Bhd is at the forefront of Autobahn’s international expansion initiatives. A member of Autobahn Malaysia’s Dealer and Distribution Network, the company has 25 team members multiplying momentum as one.

“I was in love with cars when I was 12 years old, especially remote controlled cars,” says Chun. “That’s why I joined this industry after graduation. I found that I’m truly in love with this industry throughout the years, and I’m enjoying sharing my knowledge of film with customers.”
34-year-old Chun entered the window film industry in 2006.
“I was working part-time at a car accessory and detailing shop while studying at Han Chiang College in Penang, Malaysia,” shares Chun, who also worked as a bartender during his studies to cover daily expenses. “I worked with audio players, lighting accessories, body kits, and window film.”
After graduating from Han Chiang College in 2009, Chun took a leap of faith.
“The biggest challenge in my life was quitting my high-paying job in Gerik, Perak, where I was working with my uncle,” Chun shares. “I started all over in Penang at Advance Tint.”
Chun started at Advance Tint Sdn Bhd as a Junior Technician.
“The one who motivates me the most in my life is my mother,” says Chun, now a 17-year industry veteran who proudly holds the title of Senior Technician in 2023. “She is a business woman who takes care of me and my siblings very well at the same time. She has always been my role model. She also always reminds me to be firm with decisions. ‘Practice makes perfect.’”

“Switching my career path from an automotive mechanic to a tinter has been challenging,” shares 15-year window film industry veteran Wei. “The main reason I switched was due to uncertainty of my career path, and my interest in this field. I’m lucky to have a group of humble colleagues who are willing to guide me in my job, and forgive me for my mistakes.”
Like Chun, Wei started his career at Advance Tint Sdn Bhd as a Junior Technician. He hopes to be remembered as a “loving and caring person who likes to share knowledge among peers.”
“Sharing knowledge among peers is my favorite part of my job as sharing is caring,” Wei adds. “I enjoy arranging my daily routine and operational processes, too.”
Wei credits his wife for encouraging him to make changes and take on challenges in the pursuit of a happier life.
“Life is short,” Wei shares. “Love what you do, and do what you love.”
Global Expansion
Autobahn recently announced an international expansion into Brazil. FilmStar Window Film, the Exclusive Distributor for Autobahn Brazil’s Dealer and Distribution Network, will facilitate the launch.
