The technology

Geist is a TPU-based exterior windshield film: a 6 mil stack with a 1.9 mil hard-coated surface over a 0.5 mil healing layer, mounted with a 1 mil PSA. It transmits 90% of visible light, blocks 99% of UV, and spreads impact energy that bare glass would take as a chip.
