Autobahn, a leading supplier of premium automotive window tint, paint protection film (PPF), and ceramic coatings, is expanding its North American presence through strategic partnerships with new dealers in exclusive territories.

Moore’s Sunlight Solutions now offers Autobahn’s full suite of solutions to drivers in Russellville, Kentucky.

26-year-old Owner-Operator Dylan Moore sat down with Chris Collier, Director of Communications at Autobahn, to talk about his business journey, future goals, and life outside of tinting.

Chris: What has your Autobahn experience been like so far?
Dylan: Everything I’ve needed, they’ve helped me get. Any questions I’ve had, they’ve helped answer. Billy ‘Frickin’ Murray, my rep, has been good as well. He’s knowledgeable about any questions I have.

Chris: Tell me all about your business.
Dylan: I’m a one-man show. I do everything myself. Right now, it’s part-time, but I plan on going full-time, and hopefully joining the Autobahn family will help me do that. As of now, I offer window tint — automotive, residential, and commercial. My next goal is to add paint protection film (PPF).

Chris: And when you’re not tinting?
Dylan: I work full-time at Logan Aluminum, an aluminum recycling facility. I’ve been there for four years as an operator.

Chris: What inspired you to start your tinting business?
Dylan: I’ve always tinted my cars. That’s the first thing I do when I get a car. I wasn’t very good at it when I was younger. But when we got our first house, I wanted to tint the windows. I didn’t know anyone who did it, so I got some Amazon tint, slapped it on there, and posted it on Facebook. That’s how it started. I started in 2021, and for the first two years, I just did flat glass.

Chris: Did you ever picture the business growing like it has?
Dylan: Man, it’s come a long way. A year and a half ago, I didn’t have a shop. I worked out of my buddy’s garage. And then I got a shop but I had no lights or power. Now it’s climate-controlled and insulated. I just had the walls painted and new flooring put in. I’ve added new lighting too. From where I was two years ago, it’s incredible. I’d like to add a waiting area.

Chris: Did you ever see yourself becoming a window tinter?
Dylan: In high school, I didn’t have the money to pay a professional to tint my car, so I’d buy tint from AutoZone and throw it on. And oh man, I wasted so much film. It looked bad, but my windows were tinted. I didn’t care at the time.

Chris: Did you ever dream of doing something else before tinting?
Dylan: I always wanted to be a game warden. That was cool to me when I was younger. But once I realized there’s not much money in it, I set my sights on window tinting. I want to fully pursue this and add PPF and maybe even detailing services.

Chris: What’s your why? What keeps you motivated?
Dylan: Providing for my family and trying to better myself every day. My wife and I are expecting our first child on December 1.
