Autobahn is advancing the window film, paint protection film (PPF), and ceramic coatings industries through international expansion initiatives. Advance Tint Sdn Bhd, a Member of Autobahn Malaysia’s Dealer and Distribution Network, is at the forefront of these global efforts.
Advancing Together
“Autobahn is new in Malaysia,” says Augustine Law, Owner/Director of Advance Tint Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia. “But Malaysians have accepted it as a premium window film brand, and we have received a lot of good feedback. Autobahn impresses me with the amount of research and development and quality control they invest in.”
Advance Tint Sdn Bhd has 25 total team members. The company installs Autobahn’s Ceramic i3 Window Film and Edge’s Ceramic XR Window Film. The company will add Autobahn’s Incognito PPF to the lineup in the first quarter of 2024.
“Autobahn creates unique, family-like business relationships, which align with the core elements of my company’s culture,” shares Law, who opened his first window film business in 2014 at 33 years old. “I love the way Autobahn’s team members share knowledge. As a team, we grow together.”
Augustine Law’s Leap
“I quit my corporate job as an Engineering Manager in a well-known semiconductor factory and decided to chase my dreams,” says Law, who shares that his grandfather inspired his entrepreneurship. “The happiest moment of my life was changing my hobby into my career. That’s the passion that keeps me moving.”
Law works alongside his wife Rachel Ng, Director of Finance, and his brother Philip Law, Director of Operations.
“Bringing my family members to quit corporate life and venture into the window film business was my biggest challenge,” Law shares. “My wife was a banker, and my brother was a restaurant manager. While everyone was enjoying a stable monthly income, I encouraged them to start our entrepreneurship journey. Life was tough for the first three years. I overcame it by believing that we would see success.”
Law says he hopes he’s remembered as a trustworthy, technology and data driven, and easy-going person in the window film industry.
Flying Farther
Industry veteran Law attended his first International Window Film Conference & Tint-Off (WFCT) in Virginia Beach, Va., last month. He looks forward to seeing friends–both new and old–at future events.
“There is an old Chinese saying that says reading ten thousand books is not as good as traveling ten thousand miles,” Law shares.
