Autobahn, Huper Optik, and Edge are proud to announce Mike Powell, the Owner of Day To Night Window Tinting in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., as the recipient of 2024’s Nazir Award of Excellence. Named in honor of Faisal Nazir, the prestigious award recognizes those who have made their mark across the window film, paint protection film (PPF), and ceramic coatings industries.
Autobahn, Huper Optik, and Edge CEO David Kratz presented Powell with the award during 2024’s Dealer Conference at LeMay – America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, Wash.
A Business Owner and Award Winner
In July 2011, Powell embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by founding Day To Night Window Tinting. Honing his craft, Powell swiftly earned respect for his notable work ethic, dedication, and expertise.
Huper Optik recognized Powell’s success with the 2021 Horizon Dealer of the Year award in July 2022.
In February 2023, Powell capitalized on rapid growth and opened his first brick-and-mortar location. His business specializes in automotive and architectural window film, PPF, and ceramic coatings.
Renowned among industry peers as “Mr. Autobahn,” Powell distinguishes himself as a leading force within Autobahn’s global network of dealers.
A World Champion
In 2023, the Omni Resorts in Amelia Island, Fla., set the stage for Tinter Battles, a thrilling event where industry professionals showcase their skill sets through dynamic competitions and challenges.
Among the standout competitors were Powell and his teammate Kyle Whalen, Co-Owner of Pro Tint and Apparel in Hartwell, Ga. The duo won the Tinter Battles World Championship for the team-based Window Tinting Division.
